On this occasion, the builder had purchased a plot and arranged to build 8 high quality, new build houses. And each required an intruder alarm.
These house builders are very particular about the quality of the workmanship in their builds. It has to be exquisite and they know from our previous work with them that we feel the same. They also know that we are SSAIB accredited.
INITIAL SITE SURVEY
We met with the client after planning consent had been awarded. Together, we went through the plan of each dwelling. Even though most of them were the same, it’s important to check there aren’t any hidden differences.
We created a new plan detailing our works. To show where all devices would be placed to cover the properties internally.
And took special care over the placement of our external sirens.
If you are going to have eight in a row, you want to make sure they aren’t in the wrong place!
Then it was a matter of sitting back and letting them get on with the builds. It takes a fair amount of time to build 8 houses, especially when they are to this standard.
SECURITY SYSTEMS FOR ESSEX NEW BUILDS
We used Eaton Scantronic wired alarm systems with:
flush fitted magnetic door contacts;
internal PIR detection; and
external SFB sirens
We like the Scantronic systems for their continued support and adaptability. They are also constantly looking to improve their products.
SFB Solutions regularly speak with Eaton directly. This is to help them adapt their products and help us with the installation process.
Our clients like the products because they are so easy for the new home owners to understand and use.
All the systems allow for multiple styles of alarm set. So, once the new owners move in, they can contact us. We can then program the intruder alarm specifically to their needs.
