Canvey Island’s seafront amusement park, Fantasy Island, called us about their CCTV system.
The ageing system covered their arcade and dessert restaurant. Plus the external rides and attractions. Not only was it providing low quality images, but the hard drives had failed. And the recorder processor had ground to a halt.
They were worried that they would have no recordings if any incident occurred.
So we tried to do an immediate fix. We tested a new hard drive in the unit. But that did not improve the situation.
The Facilities Manager asked us to quote for a new CCTV installation. He wanted to extend the current coverage to include the new children’s theme park. And it needed to be adaptable to allow for the Park’s future expansion plans.

INSTALLING THE CCTV SYSTEM
This was an urgent job as the busy site couldn’t be without CCTV coverage. And they also wanted to keep the amusement park open during the day.
So we worked on the project out of hours overnight.
We installed an IP Dahua CCTV system that covered all areas in the Arcade and Dessert Restaurant.
And used a smart tracking PTZ, also from Dahua for the expanding children’s amusement park. These cameras can cover a huge area and can self track a target up to 100m away. And then follow them, ensuring our customer can see everything that happens.
The Dahua recorder is a networked IP CCTV system meaning we can use a closed network to add further cameras easily and efficiently.
The amusement park is also open at night during the winter months. So we used IP Dahua Colour At Night Cameras. Quality night images give a massive benefit to the customer.
Dahua is one of our preferred manufacturers due to the quality of their products. And the easy to use smart app for mobile phones and smart devices.
WHAT THE CLIENT SAID
The client was so pleased with the end result. Everything was better than the previous installation.
So they asked us to look at one of their other premises on the seafront where the CCTV had also failed. This was an easy fix and we completed it free of charge.
