A Rochford homeowner approached us with an alarm system that was failing. They were very unhappy with their previous installer. Worse still, they felt they had been over-charged and not offered a good service.
They didn’t know who to turn to that they could trust.
Following a recommendation from one of our CCTV System customers, they asked SFB to visit.

Our first consultation always includes an honest customer survey, conversation and discussion. This means our domestic clients can feel reassured that we know what we are doing. And to ensure they will get the home alarm system they need.
In this case, we were able to build a bespoke alarm system with an alarm receiving centre response. This would give them peace of mind that they would receive a call should the alarm be activated.
They also wanted the problem alarm fixed as soon as possible.
Because we use local suppliers, we can order and collect equipment quickly. This means we can react faster than our competitors allowing us to offer a better service.
ECO FRIENDLY AND COST EFFECTIVE
On this occasion we installed a Scantronic ION 40 Hybrid alarm system. This system allows for wired and wireless devices. So we were able to cover all areas in the property. We could run wiring where possible and use wireless technology where it was not.
We also used a CSL Pro communication device. The system can access the call support from our preferred alarm receiving centre.
We prefer to use ION alarms and CSL Pro units because they allow us cloud access via the app on our engineers phones. This means we can offer remote support if required. This can save our customers the cost of an on-site visit.
We were also able to wire two devices on this alarm system. This will reduce the number of batteries that will be required each year on the annual service.
Again, saving the customer money but also caring for the environment. We won’t be throwing away as many batteries.
COMMUNICATION IS KEY
SFB ensured that the homeowner got a system that met their needs at a good price. Plus a full training session on how to use the alarm system. Later, we were happy to take two phone calls from the homeowner to cover areas where they felt unsure.
We would rather our clients let us know if they aren’t sure of anything. We want to make sure they are using the security equipment we provide as it was intended.
