A local Fire Alarm installer had a client that was a golf course in Kent. The client also needed an SSAIB certified alarm system.
The Fire Alarm installer did not have that qualification. So they asked if we could install the intruder alarm on their behalf.
We were happy to collaborate… even though they are technically a competitor!
SITE SURVEY & TAILORING
Our visit to the golf course revealed that the existing security system was not up to standard. Pests had access to cabling and the wrong equipment had been used in certain areas.
We designed a bespoke system using the correct equipment first time. This removed the need for call-outs for broken devices.
To save the customer some money, we were able to reuse the dialling equipment that was already in place.
CAREFULLY CHOSEN SECURITY EQUIPMENT
To avoid a repeat of the previous issues, we completely rewired the alarm. And, because the previous installation was not up to standard, we used new equipment.
A G2SM grade 2 Scantronic panel with GSM dialling equipment.
External sirens;
Heavy duty door contacts; and
Roller shutter contacts.
The business has a lot of staff members on site. So we chose the Scantronic equipment because it is simple to use.
It also matched an alarm already on another part of the site – so training was easy.
Spending the day at a beautiful golf course and country club was very pleasant for our engineers.
And the client was able to deal with one contractor to cover both alarm installations. So it was a seamless experience.

The client was so impressed they have asked us to return to upgrade the dialling equipment.
